Our doctors provide not only Primary Eye Care, but also frequently diagnose & treat multiple ocular diseases.  In addition to being experts on vision disorders, Doctors of optometry are trained to recognize the ocular manifestations of diseases that affect the entire body, such as diabetes and hypertension.  All of our doctors at KOA are qualified to evaluate patients for surgery when appropriate and manage patients’ care pre- and post-operatively.  Optometrists typically provide comprehensive eye care for the vast majority of their patients, as well as coordinate referral for surgical treatment such as cataract surgery, retinal detachment repair, etc. when appropriate.
